Bondurant's Ridge Mercantile Mini-Brand

THE PROJECT

I collaborated with Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile to develop a cohesive brand identity that captures the nostalgic charm of a traditional country mercantile while presenting it through a refined, modern lens. The goal was to create a brand that feels warm, welcoming, and rooted in heritage while still appealing to today’s shoppers who appreciate curated style and thoughtful design.


The project began with the development of a custom logo and curated color story inspired by the rustic character and natural surroundings of the Ridge. A mini branding overview was created to define the visual direction and guide consistency across all materials, ensuring that every touchpoint of the brand reflects the mercantile’s inviting and timeless aesthetic.


Building on the brand foundation, I designed and developed the mercantile’s website to provide customers with an engaging digital presence that mirrors the charm and personality of the in-store experience. In addition, I created a range of marketing and social media graphics to support the business launch, promote seasonal offerings, and maintain a cohesive brand presence across platforms.


Through thoughtful design and strategic brand development, the project positioned Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile as a welcoming destination where vintage country charm meets curated style. From timeless clothing and rustic home décor to handmade desserts and convenient to-go eats, the brand experience was designed to reflect the sense of community, hospitality, and nostalgia that defines the mercantile.

THE LOGO


The Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile logo was designed to reflect the family’s deep farming roots and the legacy of their iconic oak tree, a symbol of strength, heritage, and connection to the land. Incorporating this element into the mark grounds the brand in a story that feels both personal and authentic to the Ridge.


The design pairs this meaningful imagery with classic typography and subtle vintage textures that echo the charm of a traditional country mercantile. The result is a logo that feels warm, timeless, and welcoming while maintaining a polished and refined look. It serves as a visual foundation for the brand and reflects the heritage, character, and sense of community at the heart of Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile.

THE WEBSITE

The Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile website was designed to reflect the warmth and charm of the brand while providing a clean, easy to navigate experience for visitors. The goal was to create a digital presence that mirrors the welcoming feel of the mercantile itself, while clearly showcasing the store’s offerings, story, and atmosphere.


The site was built using a GoDaddy template structure enhanced with custom branded graphics and visual elements to maintain consistency with the mercantile’s identity. Careful attention was given to layout, readability, and navigation to ensure visitors can easily explore the brand, learn about the shop, and stay connected with updates and offerings. The result is a polished and approachable website that supports the mercantile’s growing presence both online and in the community.

THE GRAPHICS

Branded graphics for Bondurant’s Ridge Mercantile were designed to maintain a consistent visual identity across both print and digital platforms. This included social media graphics, business cards, and promotional postcards created for trade show use. Each piece reflects the mercantile’s warm, vintage-inspired aesthetic while maintaining a clean and polished look. The designs help strengthen brand recognition and create a cohesive presence across customer touchpoints. Ongoing website management ensures the visual identity and content remain aligned with the overall brand. Careful attention was given to typography, color use, and layout so that every piece feels connected and intentional. Together, these elements support a polished brand presence that carries through both online and in-person interactions.
